Cherry Mobile Flare S5 Mini 6.0 Marshmallow

This firmware is another updated firmware just in case you flash the incorrect version of firmware. this is tested solution for white screen after you flash a firmware. this flare s5 mini has a Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and spreadtrum chipset that can be flash through Research Download.

NOTE: Flash this firmware when you encounter a white screen after flashing older firmware

Just download the below firmware and follow the flashing instruction below.

For Invalid IMEI or  Unknown Baseband, Write this NVRAM for CM Flare S5 Mini Using CM2.

Before anything else, we recommend to back up first all your important data like contacts, photos, sms, notes, etc. performing below procedure will erase all your data including third party installed apps. make sure also that your flare s5 mini should charged atleast 20%. Then download the above firmware.

Flashing Stock Rom To Android Smartphone

Install Spreadtrum Driver

  1. First download SPD SCI Android USB Driver V4 by jungo the complete driver for Spreadtrum.
  2. After download, extract anywhere  in your computer, Open extracted SCI-android-usb-driver-jungo-v4 folder then select system type if 32-bit or 64-bit.
    – To know your system type, go to control panel click on System and Security then click System. or simply right click on Computer and click Properties. you will see like this. mine is 32 bit (also known as x86-bit).

  3. Then run DPInst.exe. Just click next until it finish installing.

NOTE: Before proceeding, make sure that your android smartphone should have atleast 30 to 50 percent of battery to perform flashing.

Flash Pac file Stock Rom

  1.  Download the SPD_Upgrade_Tool_R4.0.0001 latest version, or SPD_Upgrade_Tool_R299015 lower version. Then extract to your desired location.
  2. Open your extracted files and run ResearchDownload.exe, For lower version open Bin folder and run UpgradeDownload.exe.
    NOTE:     UpgradeDownload and ResearchDownload is the same, UpgradeDownload is just the name of the lower version but they are both SPD Upgrade tool.

  3. In this instruction I will use UpgradeDownload and a Use Cherry Mobile Pac file as a sample. In UpgradeDownload window, click on single gear icon to Load Packet and browse for pac file(firmware/stock rom) you downloaded then click open. follow this screenshot.

  4. Loading a pac file may took long depend on file size. After loading a pac file, now ready to start flashing, You can also click on Settings on two gear icon if you want to unchecked some part of firmware like EraseRuntimeNV, This will not work on lower version. I recommend that leave it unchanged if you don’t have any idea.

  5.  Turn off first your phone, remove battery (if removable) then bring it back. In ResearchDownload/UpgradeDownload Click on Start Downloading, then in your phone press Volume up and Volume down then connect USB cable. If you see a a progress bar, then it means that it is successfully connected. if not, then try step 5 again.

  6. Wait until you see a Passed in progress, that means, you installed a new stock rom successfully.
After you flash the firmware, you can now turn on your phone, take note that first time start up may took long. but if it tooks more than 15 minutes then I suggest to perform a hard reset.

After po iremove yung battery kailangan po bang iopen ulit ung phone at ulagay sa may pipiliin po ung reboot to bootloder po at saka pipindutin ung volume up and down? o hindi na po ioopen tapos volume up and down lang po na sabay? ilan ulit ko na rin po kasi ginawa. di po lumalabas ung sa progress.

  7. Hi Bro, hindi po ma install un (SPD SCI Android USB Driver V4 by jungo) dapat po ba old versions ng windows (xp,vista, 7,8) naka windows 10 na kasi po ako. wala nakong ibang computer. please help. Thanks!

  9. Bro, ayaw ma detect un aking cp sa windows 7. un ibang cellphone na de detect naman kaso saken lang failed un device installation. so ndi pa din ako makaproceed. 🙁

  11. hindi lang naka install ng maayos driver nung sayo bro, make sure conneted s internet kusa din kasi magdodownload driver nyan eh, liban lang kung sira USB Port ng cp mo

  19. wag pahirapan sarili bro. press mo muna volume up or down or both volume, then salpak mo USB. Mag kokonek yan kung wala problema sa Driver at USB port.

  23. pagkasaksak ko sa usb sa cms5 lagi nalang nadidiskonek… windows 10 gamit ko… may paraan pa kaya?… ok naman sa ibang unit, nakakapag flash naman ako… kaso si cms5 hindi…

    Try this,

    turn off your phone, REmove Battery (If Removable) then,
    on SP Flash tool or Research/UpgradeDownload Click Start download.
    On Your Phone, Press Volume up or Down or both,
    Then Insert USB Cable then Insert battery While Pressing Volume.
    Release Volume when SPFlashtool Research/Upgrade Download Detected your phone.

    kung nag on or nag charge, repeat mo lang.

  32. salamat dito @master vir, okay na ung s5 mini ni 'tumer.. nag-white screen kasi after i-flash gamit ung kay boss moxx, although tried and tested ko ung FW nya..

  42. Okay naman pag insert ko, kasi nag passed siya kapag hindi naka check yung NV_W. Drivers okay din, installed lahat after ko disabled yung driver enforcement signature, okay din cable kasi ginamit ko siya pang flash ng ibang firmware sa ibang phone.

  52. tanong lang po sir may s5 mini ako ok naman sya pero once ion ko ang data bigla nagkukusang maclick ung option key ba twag dun paulit ulit un pero pag nag open ako ng khit anong apps ok na pero pagblik ko sa home ganun uli..software po ba prob nun?duda kasi akong touch screen ang prob kasi ok nman sya wag lang talaga i on ang data at pag nsa home lng sya..salamat po kung mapapansin.
